Position Summary
GEOMET Recycling is seeking an Admin Cashier to join our team. This is a front-line, customer-facing role responsible for delivering excellent service while ensuring accurate and efficient financial transactions.
This position plays a key role in daily operations and requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
- Greet customers and provide a friendly, professional experience
- Process high-volume cash transactions accurately and balance daily cash drawer
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately
- Maintain and update customer records in the company specific system (ROM)
- Create customer accounts, including processing applications and issuing cards
- Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with state recycling regulations and company procedures
- Maintain organized records and support administrative tasks as needed
- Assist in resolving customer questions or concerns in a professional manner
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of cashiering and/or office experience
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stay organized and accurate in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable handling cash and maintaining accountability for transactions
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Experience in the recycling/scrap metal industry is a plus, but not required.
